Westin Hotels & Resorts has launched a new in-room spa programme that revolves around a specially designed spa bed.
The all-white spa bed is 31 inches wide – larger than typical portable massage tables – and is outfitted with heated AeroCel padding, double fleecing and Westin’s Heavenly Bed linens. Just below the face rest, a small shelf holds a bowl of flowers and soothing aromatherapy oil. The experience includes staff delivering a spa basket holding water, a flower, a relaxation music CD, a healthful treat such as dark chocolate and aromatherapy oils.
“We designed our new in-room spa experience to appeal to the growing segment of travellers who expect uncompromised luxury, but may prefer the comfort and privacy of their room over a communal spa,” said Sue Brush, senior vice president of Westin Hotels & Resorts.
“This programme is also ideal for business travelers, who often have a small window of time for relaxation and pampering.”
Westin’s in-room spa experience in Asia Pacific is available in Beijing, Shanghai, Sydney, Melbourne, Fiji, Langkawi, Bangkok, Guam, Bali and Auckland.
