Westin Hotels and Resorts announced today the launch of a dedicated customer toll free number in India: 000 800 650 1407 . The introduction of the toll free number will make it easy for travelers in India to book their stays at any of the Westin hotels and resorts within the country (Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Sohna and soon Gurgaon) or at any of the over 170 Westin hotels and resorts in 31 countries globally. In conjunction with the launch of the toll free number, Westin Hotels and Resorts also introduced a ‘click-to-call’ feature on their website that will seamlessly link customers with hotel representatives via phone.
India is a key focus of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ (Westin’s parent company) expansion efforts. The hotel giant recently introduced the Westin brand in India and now operates 4 hotels: The Westin Mumbai Garden City, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, and The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, with a fifth, The Westin Gurgaon, to open October 1, 2010.
“We are excited to see the launch of the dedicated toll free number in India for Westin Hotels and Resorts,” said Don Elliot, Regional Vice President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, India, Bangladesh and the Maldives. “The toll free number could not have been introduced at a better point in time as India’s domestic and outbound travel increases with the rise of its middle class and with an increasing affinity for global brands. These features will also help to propel Starwood Hotels and Resorts along its predicted growth path of 60% by 2013 within India,” added Elliot.
