White Star Cruises has changed its new to The Luxury Cruise Company to differentiate itself from cruise lines. “We have decided to change our name for two key reasons. Firstly, there was some confusion with Cunard’s onboard White Star service, and secondly, our latest research showed that many people think that we are a cruise line, rather than a specialist luxury cruise retailer,” explained Scott Anderson, general manager of the company. “We have chosen to re-name to The Luxury Cruise Company, as we believe that this sums up what we do and how we do it. Everything else remains the same.”
