The Cambodian Daily reports the rescue of a 5-year-oldMalayan sun bear by the Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team. The cub, which was beingkept as a ‘pet’ in a cage too small to walk around in, wasrecovered from a Chinese businessman in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district.Officials were still unsure how the businessman acquired the sunbear. They also reported on the bust of a Phnom Penh restaurateur specialising in exotic species.Animal Planet TV also covered the undercover investigation, which will beaired this fall on MSNBC in a series titled 100 Heartbeats
