In an effort to promote wine tourism, the Karnataka Wine Board is hosting a three-day mela starting 10 July, The Times of India has reported. To be held in Lal Bagh, the event will include free wine tasting and a seminar to educate farmers, companies and the public about wine production in India.
“The festival, apart from cultivating a love of wine among people, also aims to promote Indian wines. The focus is to promote fruit-based wine, which will benefit farmers,” the Wine Board’s Chairman, L Shantakumari Sundar, was reported saying.
