Winter sports music festival is big hit

The Big Snow Festival, which was launched by Thomas Cook in October, has proven to be such a hit with skiers and snowboarders that just seven weeks in, new accommodation has had to be contracted and one of the London Gatwick charter flights has already been filled.
Combining winter sports in Andorra’s premier ski resort – Arinsal, with top music acts such as Calvin Harris and Radio 1 stars Judge Jules and Kissy Sell Out, ensures that snow enthusiasts will have an amazing holiday experience both on- and off-piste. Customers can book through Thomas Cook and Going Places stores and have been able to select either a full package or an accommodation only choice. Both options have proven to be popular and the two new hotels that are now available are the Compedrosa hotel and Xalet Besoli Hotel.
Ian Kaye, Event Organiser at The Big Snow Festival, said: “The popularity of our first Big Snow Festival so far has been absolutely fantastic. Skiers and snowboarders who have booked with us are clearly looking for more than just a winter sports holiday; they also want to enjoy the best entertainment in the evenings.
“Our customers now have two more hotels to choose from and we’ve pulled out all the stops to secure an amazing line up of live acts and entertainment. If the black runs don’t get pulses racing during the day, acts such as Calvin Harris will surely do the trick in the evening.”
