WITT Wellness in Travel & Tourism has unveiled the WITT Accredited Professional (WITT AP) credential, marking the first global wellness accreditation tailored for hospitality professionals. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for leaders with credible, standards-based expertise in wellness, a core expectation in global travel. The programme certifies individuals who develop, manage, and influence wellness-centred guest experiences in hotels and resorts.
The WITT AP programme is grounded in the organisation's Core Wellness Standards for Hotels and its Five Pillars of Wellness: Healthy Eating, Holistic Healing, Movement, Nature, and Local Impact. It offers practical guidance on integrating wellness standards into hotel design, operations, programming, and service delivery. Robin Ruiz, Founder and CEO of WITT, emphasised, "Hotels don't achieve meaningful wellness on paper alone—it's driven by people."
The programme targets a wide range of hospitality roles, including hotel and resort leadership, spa and wellness directors, operations and rooms leaders, food and beverage teams, and more. Oxana Spivey, Vice President of Wellness Standards & Education at WITT, noted, "WITT AP translates global wellness standards into actionable insight, giving professionals the tools to embed wellness intentionally at every guest touchpoint."
Upon completion, participants receive a professional certificate, a digital credential badge, and a listing in the Global WITT Accredited Professional Directory. This credential not only supports career advancement but also enhances professionals' value within organisations, distinguishing them as trusted wellness leaders. The launch of WITT AP aligns with WITT's mission to advance wellness hospitality worldwide by building a global community of informed professionals.
