World Bank loans to help Guizhou heritage

The World Bank has agreed to loan China’s Guizhou province up to US$60 million for its Cultural and Natural Heritages Protection and Development Programme. According to a Xinhua report, the 30-year loans have been earmarked for infrastructure projects, ancient architectural protection, maintenance of traditional villages, and the development of tourism-related activities.
