Worldhotels and Svenska Hotels announce strategic partnership

Stockholm-based Svenska Hotels and Frankfurt-headquartered Worldhotels have announced a strategic partnership to launch multiple 5-star luxury hotels in India. Svenska will develop 20 hotels over 10 years with a total inventory of more than 1,000 rooms. Last year, Svenska’s first hotel in India, located in Mumbai at Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West, opened in December. “With Svenska, we are bringing a fresh and exciting product to the Indian market, which will introduce the country to a whole new world of personalized luxury, and high technology amenities to satisfy the constantly evolving need of our international guests,” said Worldhotels vice president for Asia-Pacific Roland Jegge. The next hotel under the partnership is opening in early February in Bangalore within the Electronic City complex. Svenska Bangalore has 56 rooms, comprising of 40 superior rooms, ten deluxe rooms and six luxury suites, with rooftop swimming pool and health club. The alliance is truly strategic in nature as it’s based on a long-term engagement model under which all our future hotels would be part of the Worldhotels collection.”
