WORLDHOTELS mystery shoppers’ top pick
This is the first time the hotel group has recognised the highest achievers in its annual WORLDHOTELS quality checks.
As part of the “Performing Excellence Programme” “mystery shoppers”, evaluate up to 1,692 different criteria during their stays.
At the reception desk, for example, the testers evaluate staff’s service skills and the overall atmosphere, including details such as flower arrangements and indoor temperature.
In the rooms, there’s the first impression to the bathroom toiletries. Even country-specific characteristics are taken into consideration; in the Arab region the testers inspect whether the room indicates the direction of Mecca.
Marina Hotel Kuwait won in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region while group winner in Asia-Pacific is The Eton Hotel in Hong Kong.
