Venetian jackpot winner not eligible for winnings
A 25 year old woman who won a jackpot of approximately US $131,000 in the Venetian Macau on February 14 was denied her winnings because she was a relative of a casino employee.
According to a report in Casinowire.com, the Venetian Macau had claimed that she was not entitled to her winnings as the employee, her, was involved in the slot machine promotion in which she took part and won.
They said that the promotion involved internal information, such as winning odds, which employees and members of their families could use to their advantage and therefore did not allow blood relatives of employees to take part.
The woman later filed a complaint with the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau but she lost her case.
