(Cross Two) X2 Design Hotel Group has joined forces with the world’s eighth-largest hotel management company, Louver Hotels Group, to rollout the brand across Indonesia.
The Parisian management firm has included the X2 brand to its business expansion plan in Indonesia, where property owners have already shown a strong appetite for the brand proposition.
“I recognised that those individuals who appreciate style and design were becoming less satisfied with the traditional tropical resort designs that while well executed, proliferate the Asian region,” said Anthony McDonald, founder of Thailand’s X2 Group.
As a design driven hotel brand which focuses on luxury hotels, resorts, villas and residences with cutting edge architecture, X2 already has ten new X2 properties in the pipeline in Bali, Lombok, Jakarta.
This builds on regional growth momentum of the X2 brand, which currently has 13 projects in Thailand and Australia ranging from five-star resorts, villas, apartment and residences, and recently opened an office in Shanghai.
McDonald said: “At the moment, we are working with Louvre Hotels to expand our X2 brand in Indonesia as part of our strategy to have 30 X2 properties in the region by 2016.”
Louvre already operates six brands, which include the Golden Tulip Brands, Kyriad, Campanile and Premiere Classe.
The company’s vice president of development, Erick Herlangga, said: “We did not have such a design and boutique brand in our brand portfolio, so this addition compliments our range of brands very well for Indonesia.
“In many destinations there is strong demand for such a brand and we are very pleased to be able to propose this new exciting concept brand to our owners and developers.”
Louvre Hotels Group is a key player in the international hotel industry. It now counts more than 1,200 hotels, representing a total capacity of over 80,000 rooms in more than 47 countries.
