Yemenia may rescind a US$2 billion aircraft order from Airbus, in light of the investigation into the 30 July crash which killed 152 people, Bloomberg reported the carrier’s Chairman as saying.
“We are not receiving cooperation from Airbus and some of the French people are really against us,” Yemenia Chairman, Abdulkalek Saleh Al-Kadi, was reported saying. Yemenia placed an order for 10 Airbus A350 planes in 2007. The final decision on whether to proceed with the order “will depend on the cooperation between us, Airbus and the French,” he added.
