Following this week’s report in TDME that Yemen Airways was eyeing a return to the UK market, the airline has signed a GSSA representation agreement with APG, one of the world’s leading network for airline distribution services, for sales representation services in the UK and Ireland. As part of the agreement, APG will be providing full sales and marketing services in both countries as well as providing call centre and ticketing facilities. Richard Burgess, managing director of APG in the UK said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Yemenia in the UK and Ireland at an exciting time when the airline is undertaking a major fleet renewal with the delivery of 12 A320s over the next two years followed by integration into the fleet of the airline’s order of A350 aircraft. We are equally hopeful that the airline will be able to re-launch its flights to London Heathrow in the not too distant future.”
