Gordon Ramsay has unveiled plans to open a restaurant at Marina Bay Sands.
An agreement was signed between Las Vegas Sands and Gordon Ramsay Group earlier this year to roll out the celebrity chef’s restaurant concepts across Asia. And Ramsay has now unveiled plans to launch his Bread Street Kitchen concept at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands next year.
With an industrial warehouse-style design, the new restaurant and bar will be modelled on the Bread Street Kitchen outlet in London and will serve a British-European menu.
The move into Singapore follows the recent announcement of Michelin-starred chef’s expansion into Asia. The region’s first Bread Street Kitchen is opening in Hong Kong, and Ramsay expects to follow this up with more new restaurants in 2015. The tie-up with Las Vegas Sands also leads to the possibility of new outlets at the company’s integrated resorts in Macau.
“We are looking forward to our new partnership with Gordon Ramsay,” said George Tanasijevich, president & CEO of Marina Bay Sands.
“Gordon has an outstanding track record in his many different restaurant concepts and business enterprises. We believe his Bread Street Kitchen is the ideal concept for Marina Bay Sands as it will strengthen the world-class dining options that our visitors have come to expect from us.”
The British chef currently operates 25 restaurants across the globe with a combined seven Michelin stars.
“I’m delighted to be opening in Singapore with a partner such as Marina Bay Sands, who is well known for providing world-class dining experiences in a market where people simply love their food! The further expansion into Asia is an exciting move for us and will see our successful London concepts being transferred and tailored to this new market,” said Ramsay.
