Hainan Airlines has kicked off a global recruitment drive to find cabin crew to work on its expanding fleet of aircraft and routes.
An event was held at the Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast on 17 March to launch the campaign, and Hainan Airlines says it plans to build a “global flight attendant recruitment network” spanning more than 20 cities worldwide.
It is partnering with more than 70 colleges and universities across China and recruiting crew members from the US, UK, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic and Russia.
In total, the airline plans to recruit 2,000 flight attendants in 2016, including 300 Chinese nationals.
“Flight attendants not only serve passengers but also act as brand ambassadors and practitioners of the corporate culture of the airline they work for,” said Wang Qindong, Hainan Airlines’ general manager of human resources & administration.
“Following a set of selection criteria based of openness, fairness and impartiality, Hainan Airlines seeks to recruit qualified flight attendants from both within China and around the world who have an international vision, excellent foreign language and communication skills and established familiarity with and knowledge of different cultures.”
In 2015, Hainan Airlines held more than 100 job fairs in nine countries.
