Banyan Tree unveils revamped XTC agents programme
Singapore, 15 February 2010 – Buoyed by the excellent response to the Xtraordinary Travel Consultants (XTC) programme for travel agents launched in selected key markets last year, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts unveils a revamped array of privileges for members who secure bookings at all Banyan Tree and Angsana properties. To be launched worldwide on 22 February, the improved XTC programme is designed to recognise, incentivise, and engage top-producing travel agents.
Available to travel consultants via either a qualifying selection process or by-invitation-only basis, the privileges of being an XTC member include preferential rates for accommodation, dining and spa treatments, as well as the opportunity to enjoy an all-expenses-paid one-week holiday for two at a selected Banyan Tree or Angsana retreat. Members can track their progress on the dedicated XTC website banyantree.com/xtc, access useful tips and insider’s information on choice destinations, as well as receive updates on the latest promotions.
“Banyan Tree’s XTC programme serves to recognise, incentivise and engage the travel agents holistically. Through the XTC programme, we want to show our appreciation to our valued travel partners who have been instrumental in our growth from a single boutique resort in Phuket in 1994 to close to 30 around the world today via a meaningful, exciting platform,” said Ms. Audrey Chung, Assistant Vice President, Global Marketing Network, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. “With around eight new properties expected to open this year including Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul, Banyan Tree Samui, Angsana Fu Xian Lake and Angsana Hangzhou, our members will have the opportunity to earn more points when promoting them, and at the same time, experience our award-winning properties themselves. We are confident that XTC will empower our agents to make more informed recommendations to their clients”, she added.
XTC Rewards
Developed as an exclusive recognition programme for the Group’s top-performing travel agents, XTC members are awarded one point for every room night they secure. In addition, bookings made for specialty inventory such as the Spa Pool Villa and DoublePool Villa will be recognised with bonus points. Members can also earn points through participation in online polls and by securing bookings at highlighted properties throughout the year.
Aside from the expanded suite of enticing rewards, another key improvement to the XTC programme in 2010 include the three-tier reward system – starting with Classic, followed by Deluxe and Premier – which provide members with varying levels of benefits within 2010:
