Boeing conducts further checks on Dreamliner fleet

After agreeing to compensate Air India for delays in aircraft delivery, Boeing Co suffered another setback as it must re-inspect its fleet of 787 Dreamliners to ensure that certain sections are up to standard. According to a Bloomberg report, the US planemaker is conducting the checks after uncovering flaws in horizontal stabilizers made by Alenia Aeronautica. The problem may push the Dreamliner’s first deliveries back into 2011, from late 2010.
