Oman Tourism appoints Indian representative

Mumbai, May 27th 2010: Blue Square Consultants (BSC), a Mumbai based representation
company, has been awarded the mandate to represent Oman Tourism in the India market. The mandate for Oman Tourism is to develop and promote the destination in the Indian market with emphasis on the B2B and the B2C segments.
According to Mr Salim Bin Adey Al-Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion, Sultanate of Oman, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of BSC as our representative in the India market and we believe that they have the credentials to promote the unique products that Oman has to offer the discerning Indian clientele.”
Oman, positioned as a niche destination, is blessed with majestic mountain ranges, serene sandy beaches, lush green jungles, forts, wildlife and rustic villages. It is the best kept secret in the Persian Gulf.
At present the traffic between India and Oman comprise Visiting Friends and Relatives and those travelling for employment. The aim is to develop tourism between the two countries.
Ms Lubaina Sheerazi, Head – Business Development, BSC, said, “It is a proud moment for us to be representing Oman in India. The country has a lot to offer in terms of culture, scenic beauty and products targeted at the niche, evolved traveller.”
Oman is well connected by air with its national carrier Oman Air operating to 10 points in India.
