Job Description

As Khiri Travel’s Business Development Manager you are expected to lead, manage, grow and differentiate in accordance with our value’s proposition and core values. Based in Nonthaburi, Greater Bangkok, the Business Development Manager is in charge of initiating and coordinating all efforts to grow our business across all of our destinations. The BDM will, also, occasionally travel to our other destinations in Southeast Asia as well as travel for Sales calls and trade show visits. As BDM, you will be part of the support team to Khiri’s Core which consists of the CEO and CFO. As a decentralized company, our General Managers are responsible for the yearly strategic plans and sales for their countries. You’ll inspire, motivate, and support the team of GM’s with commercial insights, and support them in their efforts to grow. The Business Development Manager has a distinguished commercial mindset, and proactively seeks new b2b partnerships & revenue streams for Khiri Travel. Furthermore, you’ll manage our Sales teams in the US, UK, and Germany. Khiri Travel is product-driven, you are passionate about our destinations and ensure that this is reflected in the authenticity and originality of Khiri’s sales & business development strategy for all market segments: from those arriving by private jets to adventure group tours on a budget. Khiri Travel is product-driven, you are passionate about our destinations and ensure that this is reflected in the authenticity and originality of Khiri’s sales & business development strategy for all market segments: from those arriving by private jets to adventure group tours on a budget.   Reporting To: CEO & CFO Khiri Travel   Key Responsibilities: Reporting to Khiri Travel’s CEO & CFO, the Business Development Manager’s tasks include, but are not limited to: • Develop annual sales plan & targets and executing strategy of such plan • Provide direction to GM’s and overseas commercial teams • Actively analyze market trends, opportunities and action on these opportunities • Account Management of main (US) accounts together with our GM’s and Sales teams overseas • Produce periodical sales reports for Khiri Core, Sales teams and key accounts • Management of sales teams in the US, UK, and German speaking markets • Actively seek new leads and opportunities of b2b partnerships in key markets as well as potential new markets • Develop commercial opportunities with suppliers in terms of overrides, barters, and fam trips • Develop and manage commercial agreements with key partners • Passionately pursue the Company’s annual budget targets • Maximize the potential of our tour operator partners, through competent product analysis and proactive, added value communications • Relationship management – ensuring our tour operators partners proactively hear about commercial opportunities with Khiri Travel • Manage the sales team in delivering fast, correct and efficient communications with overseas tour operators • Be aware of incoming high profile requests, identify problems, and provide proactive direction or assist hands-on in more complicated communications. These may be requests from new accounts, VIP clients, first arrivals etc. • Maximize account potential production communications • Manage periodical projects, such as multi-country tenders and commercial agreements • Ensure proper usage of Sales functions of IT systems by the teams • Be an ambassador for the Khiri brand and Southeast Asia as a fabulous destination for travelers of any budget

What we’re looking for: • Regionally-based expatriate • Bachelor degree, preferably in Tourism or Business • At least 5 years’ work experience in related field in Southeast Asia • Proven excellence in a cross-cultural work environment • Positive attitude and sincere desire to lead by supporting others • Excellent communications skills • Responsible team player who can also thrive working independently   What we offer: • Full time, results-oriented position.
