Shanghai to open two new high-speed rail lines

Visitors to Shanghai for the 2010 World Expo will be able to take advantage of two new rail lines and a rail transport hub opening, the Shanghai Daily has reported. The inter-city railway between Shanghai and Nanjing City in Jiangsu province is expected to be in use by July while a service between Shanghai and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province will be ready by October. The trains used will be able to reach a top speed of 350 kph.
