Job title: Business Services Senior Accountant & Team Leader
Purpose:
Responsible for leading and managing the Management Accountant & AP / Banking Accountant in the Business Services team, plus assisting the Business Services Financial Controller to provide accurate and deadline focused consolidated financial reporting to the executive team, as well as managing accounting processes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Business partnering with finance and other support teams is key to ensure that deadlines are met, processes are consistent and accurate and financial controls are adhered to.
This role requires an absolute focus on control, ensuring compliance to accounting standards (IFRS) and industry regulations, as well as internal financial policies.
In addition, a significant degree of flexibility is essential to respond to the various needs and changing requirements of the business. As such, the Business Services Accountant will need to assist and independently produce robust routine and ad-hoc analysis from multiple, complex data sources
Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)
Preparation of monthly Profit and Loss statements for allocated support shops. Analysis and interpretation of monthly results to understand and monitor significant variances
Assisting with consolidated month-end reporting to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner
Assistance with consolidation of Global Financial Reporting documents
Consolidated Balance Sheet reporting and management
Completion and accurate reporting of weekly estimates
Assistance with year-end completion of external (statutory) reporting and external audit relationships
Business Partnering with multiple non-financial support teams; this will include monthly reporting packs and analysis, wage modelling and monthly management of wages and ad hoc reporting as required
Asset management
Modelling and control of consolidated budgets and forecasts
Cost and productivity control and analysis at an operational and strategic level
Provide ad-hoc training and accounting support as required
Acting at all times in accordance to the Core Values within the boarder finance team
Assist with preparation of Financial Statements

Job Requirements
Minimum requirements: Financial Accounting / Management Accounting Qualification – ACCA / CIMA / CA(SA) or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 5 years work experience / 3 years if CA(SA) in a Finance role
Dealing with Annual Financial Statements and International Financial Reporting Standards
3+ years Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel essential)
