About the Opportunity 

We are on the hunt for a Website Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced and successful marketing team. In this role, you will report to the Marketing Operations Leader and work collaboratively with the wider Marketing teams (including SEO, Digital, Campaigns team), Product, ECommerce & Development Teams. This will also include collaboration with marketing teams outside of Australia, Flight Centre New Zealand, South Africa, UK, Americas.   This role comes about at a very exciting time for Flight Centre, with the new global Flight Centre website launching mid-year., along with several other exciting digital and retail projects launching soon after. This role will play an integral part in the roll out, ongoing management and governance of the new website from a marketing and merchandising perspective.  

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the merchandising and promotional strategies on the Flight Centre website. This also includes improving lead-generation and conversion rates on the website, through end-to-end management of the conversion rate optimisation process.  

 This role helps lead the delivery of a continuous optimisation program across the website, sales pathways, and campaigns to drive improvement on analytics, user experience, design, development and content creation of digital assets. 

 As the Website Marketing Specialist, you will be experienced with translating data and analytics into tangible insights and are encouraged and expected to continue to increasingly look to build on these skills. 

In the role you will proactively work closely with the Digital Marketing and Campaign teams to ensure that landing pages for the performance activity are continuously optimised to improve efficiency. You will also be expected to work closely with ECommerce & Development teams to ensure marketing/merchandizing/brand/data needs are being considered on our website roadmap. This includes ticket/testing management for bug fixing.  

As the Website Marketing Specialist, you are expected to strive for creativity and a point of difference in your work which will assist in showcasing Flight Centre as a brand leader in the travel industry. 

As this role will support the Flight Centre Global Marketing strategies and support regional businesses, flexibility will be required to join calls outside of standard business hours on occasion. Flexible time will be provided.  

 What you will be doing

Assist and support the Campaigns and Product based teams in the ideation and building of Brand, Campaign, Tactical & Product landing pages 

Assist and support the wider Marketing team with the ideation and building of various content pages based on SEO recommendations, promotional and partnership events  

Create conversion rate optimisation strategies 

Have full ownership for successful execution of key website marketing-based projects 

Analyse results and identify successes, failures, trends, and effectively communicate these findings to stakeholders  

Represent the Flight Centre brand by ensuring all advertising materials are representative of the Flight Centre tone of voice and meet overall brand and legal guidelines.  

Updating the business on website traffic & conversion performance through the development, maintenance, and distribution of web analytics reports (in conjunction and with the support of our Analytics team) 

Create high-quality, comprehensive client deliverables such as project strategy decks, creative briefs, and weekly/monthly reports, including Post Campaign Report analysis.  

Manage and identify 3rd party data and system opportunities 

Create & implement process for coming up with test ideas identify and suggest ways to improve efficiencies 

Maintaining market awareness of both competitors and technological advances to develop future for digital acquisition improvement 

Assist the team to optimise their marketing strategies. 

Required Experience & Attributes: 

Confident in training their skill set to junior members in the team
Comfortable presenting their ideas to the team 

Minimum 2 years website marketing experience 

Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing variables and confidently take ownership  

Confident using quantitative and qualitative data during the optimisation process 

Understand the requirements of building and optimising a successful website 

Broad knowledge of online marketing concepts and the role that usability and user experience plays in achieving online business goals 

Advanced understanding of web analytics such as Google Analytics 

Familiarity with conversion optimisation testing tools  

Desirable Experience, Attributes & Technical Skills: 

Retail and/or wholesale travel sales experience. 

Marketing qualification(s). 

Drupal CMS experience
