InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with Proud Real Estate, has launched The Residences at InterContinental Phuket Resort, a new luxury residential project on Kamala Beach, Phuket. This $70 million (THB 2.5 billion) development marks the brand's second residential venture in Thailand, following the success of InterContinental Residences Hua Hin. The project offers 111 private units across two seven-storey buildings, with prices starting from $420,000 (THB 15 million).
Nestled between lush rainforest and the Andaman Sea, the residences are designed as "The Edge of Heaven," completing a design trilogy inspired by Tribhumikatha cosmology. Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director for South East Asia and Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated, "This partnership with Proud Real Estate extends InterContinental’s heritage of refined hospitality into a residential experience designed for everyday living."
The architecture, crafted by Habita Architects, reinterprets Phuket’s Sino-European heritage with modern sensibilities, whilst PIA Interior creates a sanctuary inspired by Peranakan artistry and Thai storytelling. The development also features wellness-led amenities, including hydro-massage pools, meditation areas, and access to the resort’s Sati Spa and MICHELIN-recognised dining.
According to C9 Hotelworks Asia Branded Residences Market Review 2025, Thailand leads Asia in branded-residence supply, with Phuket holding the region’s strongest resort-destination pipeline. The Residences at InterContinental Phuket Resort reflect a shift towards provenance, sustainability, and service excellence, offering a tranquil luxury experience rooted in culture and clarity.
