EasyJet launches flights to Scandinavian Mountains

EasyJet has commenced its inaugural flight from London Gatwick to the Scandinavian Mountains, marking a new addition to its extensive leisure network. The first flight took off on Saturday and will continue to operate weekly throughout the winter season. EasyJet is currently the only scheduled carrier offering this route from the UK, with fares starting at £29.99 available on easyJet.com and the mobile app.

The Scandinavian Mountains Airport, located on the Swedish-Norwegian border, provides access to a variety of winter activities. The region is renowned for its skiing and snowboarding opportunities, featuring seven nearby resorts and over 260 slopes catering to all skill levels. Beyond winter sports, visitors can enjoy cultural experiences, Nordic cuisine, and relaxation at local spas and wellness centres.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, stating, “We are really pleased to be celebrating our inaugural flight to Scandinavian Mountains. By introducing connections from London Gatwick to another new destination on our unrivalled leisure network, customers across the London region can now enjoy even more choice this winter.”

Gunnar Lenman, CEO of Scandinavian Airport, welcomed easyJet, noting, “This arrival marks a significant milestone for our region, making our winter destinations more accessible than ever for international visitors.”

As London Gatwick’s largest airline, easyJet continues to expand its offerings, connecting passengers to major European cities and popular leisure destinations. The airline, which has carried over 250 million passengers to and from Gatwick since its first flight in 1999, remains committed to providing affordable and convenient travel options.
