Lenovo launches programme to train Saudi graduates

Lenovo, in collaboration with the Human Resources Development Fund, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Alat, has unveiled a talent development programme aimed at training 100 Saudi graduates in smart manufacturing. The initiative, launched on 17 December 2025, will provide participants with hands-on experience at Lenovo’s Riyadh manufacturing facility and other global sites, equipping them with essential skills for Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.

The programme aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, focusing on diversifying the economy and enhancing local employment. Lawrence Yu, Head of MEA Regional Headquarters at Lenovo, stated, “Saudi Arabia’s vision for industrial transformation is ambitious, and Lenovo is proud to be a partner in this journey. This collaboration shows our commitment to investment in the Kingdom’s most valuable assets, its people.”

Funded by the Human Resources Development Fund, the programme offers a four-month training block where graduates will rotate through key roles in Lenovo’s global supply chain. This includes exposure to production, quality control, and digital operations across Lenovo’s 30 manufacturing sites worldwide. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with practical assignments, meeting international standards.

This initiative is part of Lenovo’s broader investment in Saudi Arabia, including the construction of a new manufacturing base in Riyadh and the establishment of regional headquarters. By fostering local talent, Lenovo aims to support the Kingdom’s industrial growth and contribute to the objectives of Vision 2030.
