Alaska Airlines is set to enhance its network with the addition of seven new nonstop routes from its hubs in Anchorage and Portland. Starting in spring 2026, the airline will introduce flights to destinations including Boston, Jackson Hole, and several cities in Washington state. This expansion aims to provide travellers with more convenient travel options and improved connectivity across the US.
The new routes from Anchorage will include flights to Boise, Boston, and Spokane, commencing in mid-June and running through mid-August. This expansion will bring the total number of nonstop destinations from Anchorage to 17, the highest ever offered during the peak summer travel season. The twice-weekly service to Boise marks a new route for the airline, whilst the Anchorage-Spokane route is being reinstated after a decade.
From Portland, Alaska Airlines will launch four new routes, starting as early as mid-March. These include daily year-round services to Bellingham and Everett, as well as twice-daily flights to Pasco. Additionally, a seasonal service to Jackson Hole will operate twice a week from June to September.
Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning at Alaska Airlines, highlighted the importance of Anchorage and Portland in the airline's growing network, stating, "The state of Alaska remains high on the wish list of travellers, especially in the summer months."
The new routes are part of Alaska Airlines' broader strategy to strengthen its presence on the West Coast and offer premium travel experiences. With the introduction of these routes, the airline continues to cater to the increasing demand for travel to and from Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
