City of Dreams Manila’s MRP Foundation donates equipment to Manila police force

The donation to the NCRPO is one of MRP Foundation’s various undertakings focused on environment, education, culture, and health

The Philippine National Capital Region Police Office (NCR-PO) recently received Php9.9 million worth of security equipment and vehicles from the City of Dreams Manila’s charitable arm, Melco Resorts (Philippines) Foundation Corporation (MRP Foundation).

This donation aims to support the police office’s mandate to ensure peace and order, public safety, and internal security. 

Among the items donated to the NCR-PO were a Foton Tornado truck with telescopic crane, two Toyota Hiace GL Grandia, ten mobile outposts, two mobile generators with trailer, laptops, and various types of cameras, communications and recording equipment.to strengthen law enforcement, public safety, internal security and special police operations in the  areas under the Entertainment City Estate Management Inc. (ECEMI) and all others under the jurisdiction of the NCRPO.

The donation to the NCRPO is one of MRP Foundation’s various undertakings focused on environment, education, culture, and health programmes in conjunction with the mandate of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Formal turnover

The MRP Foundation ceremonial turnover was led by Foundation chair and president Clarence Chung, vice-president Armin Raquel Santos, corporate secretary and treasurer Marissa Academia, and assistant treasurer Riin Meri.

PCol Ireneo Dalogdog, NCR-PO chief for regional logistics and research development, accepted the donation, an act witnessed by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) assistant vice-president for gaming and licensing development Vina Claudette Oca, City of Dream Manila property president Geoff Andress, and ECMI general manager John Dioquino.

Chung remarked on the occasion: “We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to PNP-NCRPO’s vital mandate to uphold the safety and security of our community and other areas of their jurisdiction. We are equally grateful to PAGCOR for their utmost support to this endeavor, which along with other foundation initiatives, affirm our commitment towards nation-building.”
