FLY91 leases two aircraft from TrueNoord

Regional airline FLY91 has leased two aircraft from global lessor TrueNoord to bolster its presence in India's Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. The first aircraft began service in December 2025, with the second set to commence operations in February 2026. This move marks TrueNoord as FLY91's second aircraft lessor, supporting the airline's strategy to expand its fleet in a disciplined manner.

Manoj Chacko, FLY91's Managing Director and CEO, highlighted the partnership's role in aligning fleet growth with demand and long-term strategy. "The addition of a second leading global lessor to our portfolio is a significant reaffirmation of FLY91’s operational strengths, governance standards, and execution capability," he stated. The new aircraft will operate from Goa and Hyderabad, reinforcing FLY91's dual-hub strategy and focus on underserved routes.

Harsha Raghavan, Chairman of FLY91, noted that the collaboration with TrueNoord supports responsible scaling whilst maintaining financial discipline. TrueNoord CEO Anne-Bart Tieleman expressed delight in supporting FLY91's growth, emphasising the viability of regional flying in India.

With the new additions, FLY91's fleet now totals four aircraft, serving nine destinations. The airline plans to expand to 15 destinations by the end of Q1 2026, with two more aircraft expected to join the fleet. This expansion aligns with India's growing regional aviation market, driven by demand from smaller cities and policy support under the UDAN scheme
