India hosts SATTE 2026, showcasing travel growth

The 33rd edition of the South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) is set to take place from 25 to 27 February 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. This flagship event by Informa Markets in India will feature over 2,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, under the theme ‘An Opportunity Called India’. As India's travel and tourism sector is projected to reach a domestic market value of USD 125 billion by 2027, SATTE 2026 aims to be a comprehensive B2B marketplace, uniting policymakers, destinations, travel buyers, and solution providers globally.

SATTE 2026 will serve as a platform for India's travel ecosystem to connect with international tourism supply, covering all major segments such as leisure, corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), weddings, cruise, luxury, and experiential travel. The event will also see participation from central and state governments, with the Ministry of Tourism spearheading discussions on Tourism Vision 2047. State tourism boards from Rajasthan, Kerala, Assam, Telangana, and Punjab will showcase regional tourism offerings.

Anita Mendiratta, a respected adviser and author, will deliver a special address, reinforcing SATTE's role as a platform where tourism policy, infrastructure, and business intersect. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, stated, "India is today one of the most compelling travel stories globally, with tourism emerging as a powerful driver of economic growth and employment."

International participation from regions such as the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and APAC will highlight India's growing importance as a global source market. Leading platforms like EaseMyTrip and Cleartrip will present innovations in AI-enabled travel planning and mobile-first booking. The event will also focus on high-growth segments like MICE and destination weddings, with India's wedding tourism market generating over $72 billion annually.

Returning to Yashobhoomi, India's largest integrated convention centre, SATTE 2026 will facilitate efficient engagement over three days, establishing itself as the definitive platform where India meets the world of tourism
