United Airlines has announced the introduction of a new tiered fare structure, offering customers more options across its premium cabins. This initiative, set to launch this year, will be available on long-haul international, transcontinental US, and select Hawaii flights. The new fare categories—base, standard, and flexible—will join the existing options in United Economy cabins.

The airline's Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew Nocella, stated, "These new tiered options give customers more choice and make it easier to find a fare that includes the benefits they want most—whether that's a great value, added perks, or maximum flexibility."

The base fare offers the lowest price point, whilst the standard fare includes perks such as free seat selection and additional checked bags. The flexible fare, fully refundable, provides all the benefits of the standard fare and more. On select transcontinental and Hawaii flights, the front cabin will be branded as United Polaris, with standard and flexible fare customers gaining access to the United Polaris lounge.

United has redesigned its website and mobile app to accommodate these changes, with the new categories expected to be available in select markets this month. The rollout will expand to additional routes later this year.

United Airlines, with hubs in major US cities, operates the most comprehensive global route network among North American carriers. The airline is now the largest in the world by available seat miles
