Blenheim Palace is set to welcome visitors with a vibrant display of spring and summer blooms as part of National Gardening Week, which runs from 27 April to 3 May 2026. The palace's extensive planting schemes and new garden features promise a colourful and textured experience across its Park and Gardens.
The Secret Garden will be a highlight this spring, showcasing hellebores, epimediums, bergenias, rhododendrons, and drumstick primulas. A newly created stump garden walk adds a bold, spiky aesthetic with birch trees, ferns, and sculptural stumps forming the foundation of an evolving woodland garden.
Elsewhere, newly planted areas are filled with spring bulbs, including early-blooming daffodils. The Arboretum is being enriched with new tree plantings, featuring red-stemmed willows along the riverbanks and a striking new avenue of ornamental crab apples leading from the Rose Garden to the Temple of Flora.
The Walled Garden introduces 40 new fruit trees, including heritage varieties such as Bloody Ploughman and Belle de Boskoop, adding historical interest. A significant event for 2026 is the opening of all three garden temples—Diana, Health, and Flora—offering panoramic views.
Head Gardener Andy Mills stated, "Across the gardens, we're focused on creating spaces that evolve beautifully through the seasons whilst offering something new and memorable for our visitors each year."
Admission to the gardens is included with a valid day ticket or Pass to Britain's Greatest Palace. For more information and to book tickets, visit Blenheim Palace's website
