Hotel Eden unveils Mauro Baio’s tennis art exhibition

Italian artist Mauro Baio's latest exhibition, ‘Beyond the Net’, is now on display at Hotel Eden in Rome, coinciding with the Internazionali BNL d'Italia tennis tournament. The exhibition, a collaboration with Maison Bosi gallery, runs from 28 April to 28 May 2026, featuring Baio's pastel-coloured paintings of tennis courts, captured from a bird’s-eye view.

Baio's work is renowned for its distinctive symmetrical lines, with the net serving as a metaphorical divide between the serenity of an empty court and the intensity of a match. Mirko Cattini, general manager of Hotel Eden, stated, “Our collaboration with Maison Bosi reflects the hotel’s ongoing relationship with Rome’s cultural community. By hosting ‘Beyond the Net’ across our shared spaces, we seek to create a point of contact between guests, artists, galleries and the city.”

Mauro Baio, who studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, draws inspiration from sports like tennis and skiing, translating these into a modern painting style. Fabrizio Bosi, gallerist at Maison Bosi, remarked, “This collaboration is an opportunity to present Mauro Baio’s work in a context that encourages a slower pace of viewing art. His paintings use light and empty space to suggest a sense of quiet and potential, rather than spectacle.”

Hotel Eden, part of the Dorchester Collection, continues to blend Italian elegance with cultural engagement, offering guests a unique artistic experience amidst its luxurious setting
