Aaron Fessler

TripWorks has launched A.N.I.E. (Assistant for Next-gen Interactive Engagement), the first AI chatbot designed to complete end-to-end bookings within the tours and activities industry. Announced on 14 May 2026, A.N.I.E. aims to address common challenges such as missed bookings and customer drop-off by offering a seamless booking experience directly within the chat interface.

Unlike traditional chatbots that redirect users to external booking pages, A.N.I.E. integrates conversational AI with real-time inventory access and payment workflows. This innovation allows tour operators to convert website traffic into revenue more effectively whilst reducing operational workload. Aaron Fessler, CEO of TripWorks, emphasised, "A.N.I.E. solves one of the biggest problems in our industry: the gap between customer intent and completed transaction."

A.N.I.E. distinguishes itself by offering:

- Natural language processing
- Real-time inventory checks
- 24/7 revenue generation
- Native in-chat booking completion
- SMS-enabled follow-up for abandoned conversations
- Conversation summaries and sentiment tracking

These features are designed to increase conversion rates and reduce friction for both guests and operators. Melanie Gannone, Director of Product at TripWorks, noted that no competitor currently offers native in-chat booking completion, highlighting A.N.I.E.'s unique position in the market.

TripWorks, founded in 2019, continues to leverage AI-driven technology to streamline operations and boost revenue for tour and activity businesses. With A.N.I.E., operators can configure and train the chatbot using various resources without needing technical support, ensuring accurate and contextual responses to guest enquiries
