The event, held from 12 to 15 May, attracted global travel professionals and media, highlighting the destination's thriving tourism sector.

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's flagship event, hosted for the second consecutive year by Antigua and Barbuda, provided a platform for international tour operators and travel agents to connect with Caribbean stakeholders. During the event, the Minister of Tourism, Charles Fernández, and Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority CEO Colin James announced that the nation welcomed 110,832 stay-over visitors in Q1 2026, up from 103,843 in the same period in 2025.

The United Kingdom led the growth with a 14% increase, whilst the US remained the largest source market, accounting for 46% of arrivals. The cruise sector is also set to see a 21.9% rise in arrivals, with a new $30 million (US$30 million) cruise terminal enhancing capacity.

New air routes and infrastructure developments, such as the V.C. Bird International Airport expansion and the opening of Burton-Nibbs International Airport, are further boosting accessibility. Upcoming hotel projects, including Moon Gate Hotel & Spa and Nobu Beach Inn, are set to enhance accommodation offerings.

Antigua and Barbuda's commitment to sustainable tourism is underscored by initiatives like the Redonda island restoration project. The nation is poised to host the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in November, marking a historic moment with its unique programme
