Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, Tan Kiat How, announced significant strides in enterprise digitalisation and AI adoption during his address at the ATxEnterprise 2026 Opening Ceremony on 21 May. Highlighting the rapid increase in AI adoption among enterprises, which rose more than fivefold from 4.3% in 2023 to 23.5% in 2025, Tan emphasised the momentum gained in the sector.
To further support this growth, two new partners, Grab and RSM Stoneforest, have joined the Digital Enterprise Blueprint (DEB). These partnerships aim to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with practical AI tools and bolster their cybersecurity resilience. Additionally, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), in collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore, has developed the AI for Enterprise Impact Playbook. This resource is designed to guide enterprises in their AI transformation journey across five key dimensions.
The inaugural SME AI Impact Awards, recognising SMEs that have achieved measurable business outcomes through AI, will open for nominations on 1 June. Tan noted that nearly universal digital adoption has been achieved, with 96.4% of enterprises adopting at least one digital solution by 2025.
Tan also underscored the importance of cybersecurity, citing a 49% increase in phishing attempts in 2024. He stressed that digital and AI tools must be accompanied by robust cyber defences to protect businesses from evolving threats. As Singapore continues to advance its digital landscape, these initiatives aim to ensure that enterprises remain competitive and resilient in a rapidly changing environment
