Accor brand Peppers makes its way back to Hunter Valley

Peppers returns to the very place where its storyย  began: the picturesque wine country of the Hunter Valley

Accor announced the return of one ofย  Australiaโ€™s most recognised boutique hotel brands to the Hunter Valley, with the rebrandย  of Grand Mercure The Vintage to Peppers Hunter Valley following a multi-million dollar refurbishment of the property.ย

In a milestone moment for the brand, Peppers returns to the very place where its storyย  began: the picturesque wine country of the Hunter Valley.ย

Long associated with refinedย  indulgence, personal service, and immersive escapes in spectacular destinations, Peppersย  now embarks on a new chapter in one of Australiaโ€™s most iconic regions.ย

Accor Pacific chief operating officer Adrian Williams remarked: โ€œTheย  return of Peppers to the Hunter Valley is a proud and symbolic moment for us. This is whereย  the Peppers story began, and to see the brand come full circle, now elevated, refreshed,ย  and reconnected to its roots, is incredibly special. The transformation of this propertyย  reflects the strength of our partnerships and the continued demand for meaningful,ย  premium escapes that balance charm with sophistication. Peppers Hunter Valley is not justย  a beautiful place to stay: it is a return to what makes travel personal, local, andย  unforgettable.โ€ย

A classic reimagined

Located within the renowned โ€˜The Vintageโ€™ precinct, Peppers Hunter Valley is surroundedย  by rolling vineyards, sweeping countryside, and the championship 18-hole Greg Norman designed golf course.ย ย

Owned by long-standing partners Stevens Group and Accor Vacation Club, along withย  additional owners, the now-reimagined hotel features a collection of one, two, and three bedroom villas beautifully upgraded to reflect a contemporary wine country aesthetic.ย

Allย  apartments underwent a full ceiling-to-floor upgrade, featuring refreshed lighting,ย  modernised kitchens, elegant furnishings, and refined textures.ย

The result is a series of immersive spaces that balance natural tones and elevated design, inspired by the spirit of the Hunter Valley.ย

A newly transformed reception area also brings together the brandโ€™s signatureย  sophistication with the regionโ€™s relaxed spirit.ย

Ongoing transformation

The precinct is undergoing further transformation, with the team behind NINETEEN set toย  launch a new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bar Mezze upstairs.

This latestย  addition continues to enhance the areaโ€™s growing reputation as a destination for world class food, wine, and relaxation.ย

The revival of this iconic property reinforces Peppersโ€™ positioning as a brand that createsย  memorable stays, combining thoughtful design, exceptional service, and distinctiveย  locations across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
