Air New Zealand will increase capacity into the North American destinations of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver over the coming months.
From mid-June, the airline will start operating 14 weekly flights on the Auckland-Los Angeles route, including three flights on Saturdays. The additional LA services will be operated either by a 304-seat Boeing 777-200 or a 332-seat B777-300 aircraft.
Air NZ will also deploy its 379-seat B747-400 aircraft on the Auckland-San Francisco route from April, initially with five weekly flights and moving to daily during peak season.
Finally the Auckland-Vancouver route will move to five flights per week over the peak December-February period using B777-200 aircraft. The route is currently operated between two and four times a week depending on seasonal demand.
