Al Khor Fly-In to be held in January 2013

Under the patronage of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, organizing committee of Al Khor Fly-In has announced dates of its annual attraction to take place from 17 – 19 January, 2013.
The event is jointly organised by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and Qatar flying Club, and attended by Qatar Aeronautical College, light aircraft owners from Qatar and the region, remote flying section at the Science Club, Al Khor Airport, the barometer and ultra-light amateurs, and regional flight clubs.
The 2013 sixth Al Khor Fly-in will take place at Al Khor airport from 18-19 January. The fifth Fly-In had been completely reshaped into a bigger family attraction. The objective of this event lies in educating youth about science and concept of aviation and in offering them an opportunity to plan their future.
Aircraft owners from Qatar, the GCC and overseas will be flying into Al Khor to show off their machines and raise awareness about aviation among Qataris.
Khalid Abdulrahman Al Khater, vice-chairman of Al Khor Fly-In Organizing Committee said: “The anticipated line-up and activities are going to prove to be a huge draw for all families and individuals. We are expecting more participation this year especially from Qatar where a larger number of private, medium and light aircraft owners will be taking part in this event from the GCC countries in particular UAE, KSA and Kuwait.”
