All eight of the airlines previously operating Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights before the battery issues are to recommence flights onboard the aircraft.
Ethiopian Airlines was the first to recommence its Dreamliner flights on Saturday, while Air Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines are to start up services from 1 June.
In the UK market Thomson has announced its Dreamliner flights will start in July, two months later than its original launch date. Thomson Airways will be the first UK carrier to fly the aircraft with operations to commence on 8 July to Cancun and Florida. Those booked before these dates moved onto a Boeing 767 aircraft for the outbound journey.
“We understand that this news will be disappointing for those customers looking forward to flying both legs of their journey on the 787 Dreamliner, but we are pleased they will be able to experience flying on the 787 Dreamliner on their return journey,” a statement said.
Qatar Airways is to restart its Dreamliner flights between London and Doha from 15 May, with its Doha-Dubai service set to be using the aircraft this week.
Other Dreamliner users United, LOT Polish Airlines, Air India and LAN will also resume flights from 31 May or during June.
Services onboard the aircraft were suspended for three months after a series of battery faults.
