American Airlines announces summer schedule at London Heathrow

American Airlines continues to expand its presence across the Atlantic, announcing its biggest-ever summer schedule to and from London Heathrow (LHR), operating 26 daily flights starting April. With the addition of extra daily flights to Los Angeles (LAX) and Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), American is marking its largest operation from London across the Atlantic, flying to 11 North American cities with its 26 daily flights. The 2023 summer schedule solidifies American’s position as the biggest U.S. carrier at LHR.

“Travel to and from the U.S. and England is increasing in popularity, and we are thrilled to be able to cater to the growing demand from passengers,” said Rhett Workman, American’s managing director – strategic performance and UK Operations“As we saw in summer last year, people want to – and are – travelling. At American we’re excited to help introduce passengers to everything the U.S. and beyond has to offer and to do so as the largest U.S. carrier at London Heathrow.”

Customers will be able to enjoy a world-class flight experience complete with Flagship Business and Premium Economy seats, as well as state-of-the-art interiors, live TV streaming, high-speed Wi-Fi and hundreds of movies and TV shows on-demand at every seat.
