Associations Round Table at AIME 2020 reimagines model through creativity

Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) – the leading meetings and incentives event in the region – has revealed insights off the back of an industry-first Associations Round Table.

Sponsored by the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), the round table session connected C-suite executives from over 30 global organisations during the AIME Knowledge Programme to discuss common challenges and opportunities.

“It was an important platform for association executives across the globe to come together and discuss issues of relevance and growth in a global environment where change seems to be the only constant,” said Julia Swanson, chief executive officer of MCB.

Instead of a traditional round table format, guests were greeted with a live interactive band, where they were encouraged to step outside their comfort zone to drive creative thinking.  The round table also explored the top 20 marketing trends of 2020, and featured a MCB panel session, which addressed the issue of relevance and growth in the context of the UITP Global Public Transport Summit, the sector’s biggest global event which will be coming to Melbourne in 2021.
