Aston International has continued its rapid expansion in Indonesia with a groundbreaking ceremony for the Aston Bojonegoro City Hotel.
The new Aston City hotel will be three-star property in East Java offering conference and banqueting facilities. Facilities will include 134 rooms and suites, a pillarless ballroom with space for up to 600 people, plus meeting rooms. It will also feature several food and beverage outlets, an outdoor swimming pool, gym and spa.
“Besides being well represented in Indonesia’s key markets of Bali and Jakarta we aim to provide a comprehensive, consistent and reliable network of international quality hotels throughout Indonesia’s many lesser known secondary and tertiary cities,” said Aston’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Norbert Vas.
“Growing into East Java is an important part of this strategy and Bojonegoro will soon be followed by projects in Jember, Madiun, Malang and Surabaya,” he added.
Bojonegoro is located about 110km west of Surabaya on the banks of the Bengawan Solo River – the longest river in Java. The city recently attracted attention following a major oil discovery in the area.
