Bahia Principe unveils new sub-brands and identity

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has announced a significant rebranding, introducing two new sub-brands, Bahia Principe Explore and Bahia Principe Escape, aimed at enhancing the guest experience. This move coincides with the integration of over 20 resorts into the World of Hyatt loyalty programme, expanding travel rewards for millions globally.

The refreshed brand identity includes a modernised version of the iconic Bahia Principe sun symbol, aligning with the new "Fully & Freely" positioning. This invites guests to enjoy their holidays in their own way whilst connecting with local cultures. The sub-brands are designed to simplify the booking process and cater to specific audiences: Bahia Principe Escape focuses on adults-only experiences with wellness and premium dining, whilst Bahia Principe Explore targets families and groups with themed hotels and immersive spaces.

Julio Pérez, CEO of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, stated, "The new Bahia Principe brand architecture reflects who we are—shaped over more than three decades—and is the result of listening to our guests and understanding how they want to holiday today."

This rebranding is part of a strategic joint venture between Hyatt and Piñero, making Bahia Principe the ninth brand in Hyatt’s Inclusive portfolio. The integration into World of Hyatt allows travellers to earn and redeem points at participating resorts in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain, adding nearly 12,000 rooms to the programme.
