Bangkok to host spa conference
Spa and wellness industry professionals will descend on Bangkok later this year for the World Spa & Well-Being Convention.
Taking place at the IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center from 19-21 September 2012, the event is expected to attract 3,000 trade visitors, along with 400 congress delegates and 5,000 members of the public. Speakers will highlight the latest Asian spa industry trends, with a key focus on helping Thai spa operators and manufacturers prepare for the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community 2015.
“The event is designed to enhance the image of Thailand in the world spa market, upgrade quality standards and innovation of services and showcase the latest products, technology and methods to highly targeted key decision makers,” said the event’s organiser, the Thai Spa Association.
According to the latest research, Thailand was visited by an estimated 1.4 million medical and wellness tourists in 2010, up from 500,000 in 2001.
