Business Travel Market is to run alongside World Travel Market next year, organisers have announced.
Reed Travel Exhibitions, which runs both shows, said BTM will take place at the ExCel on the final two days of WTM on 6-7 November.
BTM will continue to hold its European Hosted Buyer Programme and comes as 17,000 WTM visitors have a link to business travel. WTM hopes the move will boost its airline and hotel exhibitors and increase delegation for its new Business Day in an aim to boost numbers on the traditionally-quiet Thursday.
Other business-led events will run throughout the year.
“We are also launching a series of invitation-only industry dinners throughout the year as well as a brand new BTM Knowledge Conference in June in London,” explained Paul Robin, exhibition director of BTM. “This creates many more touch points for our clients with the market throughout the year; all leading to the main event in November.”
