Capella Hotels and Resorts remains world’s best hotel brand for a third year running

The recognition comes during a period of strategic growth for Capella Hotel Group

Travel + Leisure recently named Capella Hotels and Resorts as the world’s Best Hotel Brand during its annual World’s Best Awards.

This is the third consecutive year that Capella Hotels and Resorts has come away with the coveted title.

The recognition comes during a period of strategic growth for Capella Hotel Group: in April of this year, the brand opened Capella Taipei, marking its entry into Taiwan while Capella at Galaxy Macau will follow by the end of this year. 

Looking ahead to 2026, the brand will make its debut in Japan by way of the Capella Kyoto and venture into the European luxury hospitality market via Capella Florence by 2027.

Accolades for individual properties

Beyond the overall brand distinction, several Capella properties earned individual accolades. 

Capella Sydney was named the #1 City Hotel in Australia and New Zealand, while Capella Bangkok, Capella Hanoi, and Capella Shanghai each secured top rankings in their respective regions. 

These accolades reflect the brand's commitment to honouring the unique character of each destination while upholding its service excellence.

Capella Hotel group vice-chair Evan Kwee was moved to say: “Receiving this award once was a remarkable honour, earning it a second time was truly humbling, and to be recognised for a third consecutive year is an achievement that fills us with immense pride.
