Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Friday announced the opening of the Radisson Kandla in Gujarat, and the Radisson Blu Ghaziabad near New Delhi.
Simon Barlow, president for Asia Pacific at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, said: “[The properties] are both well positioned to be successful in capturing high end business and leisure travel, in line with the growth of their respective destinations.”
Radisson Kandla is a 117-room hotel located within easy reach of the airport, the railway station and Kandla Special Economic Zone (KSEZ). The property has 55,000 square feet of meeting space, which can accommodate up to 5,500 people. The hotel’s dining options include a tea lounge and pastry shop, an all-day dining restaurant, Asian Station restaurant and Marina vegetarian restaurant. Recreational facilities include a mini theatre, virtual golf, a fitness centre with a squash court, an outdoor swimming pool, kids play zone, and a spa.
Radisson Blu Ghaziabad is a 147-room hotel located in the eastern part of the NCR with proximity to Delhi, Noida and Meerut. The hotel has meeting facilities, including pillar-less function rooms that can accommodate up to 1,500 guests. The hotel’s dining options include a world kitchen offering all-day dining, an Indian vegetarian restaurant, and a cocktail bar. Recreational facilities include a rooftop swimming pool, and Spa Violet.
The addition of these two new hotels to Carlson Rezidor’s portfolio is testament to the group’s growing presence in India, with 99 hotels in operation and under development.
Barlow said: “Our hotel brands are well represented in key cities such as Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. To further our expansion and continue our growth momentum, we are establishing hotels in emerging cities such as Kandla, India’s largest port, as well as Ghaziabad.”
