After a rocky start to the year, with sales upset by the Japanese earthquake, Chan Brothers Travel has reported a strong surge in growth. The Singaporean travel agent is back on track to achieve SG$200 million in annual revenues, marking 20% year on year growth. The company reported a strong comeback in the second half of 2011, but 2012 is expected to be another challenging year as Singaporean growth projections indicate a lull caused by global economic uncertainties. Looking ahead, group Managing Director Anthony Chan said; “We will tailor our tactics by fine tuning our products, improving affordability, focusing on operating efficiency, bolstering trust and positioning our brand for the inevitable recovery. Strategising the optimal combination of defence and offense will allow us to break away from the pack and roar out of this recession, while other industry players get dislodged.”
