Tour operator Club Med has put its 2013 holidays on sale to the travel trade.
The launch is to coincide with the company’s new brochure, which will be officially unveiled on Tuesday (13 March).
New to the programme is the Pragelato via Lattea resort in Italy, which will open on 16 December this year and is on sale now. Joy Lacana, agency sales manager UK & Ireland at Club Med told Travel Daily the resort will feature several chalets dotted around an area but still clustered with communal facilities.
“We have a large number of passengers that come back and increased loyalty, so we’ve come to the point where we need more product,” she said. “We’re running full so this resort will be a newer version of Le Meribel ideal for families and really experienced skiers”.
Clients are also guaranteed an early booking discount of up to £450 per person on bookings before 15 March (Thursday). “This is the first time we have guaranteed savings for a prolonged period,” said Lacana. She added that a two-tier savings system is in place for both suites and standard rooms.
Meanwhile, Club Med is giving away 16 prizes in its e-learning incentive for March. Agents can be in with the chance of winning a prize by completing the tour operator’s online training course by 31 March.
“Our course is a great way to understand our product as not many agents realise we have more than 80 resorts,” said Lacana. “We are the home of all-inclusive, including the only fully all-inclusive resort in the US, and have one of the largest sports academies, which is not realised”. Prizes are Virgin Experience Days including golf lessons at St Andrews, a 007 powerboat adventure and a champagne tasting experience for two.
